True but it's a latent infection that doesn't manifest itself until you die. What's a bit inconsistent is how people die after being bitten. It's as if the virus become active after you get bit.
the virus doesn't kill you. The bacteria from the walker's bite sets up infection. With no anti-biotics you will die from that infection, and then you turn.

How will the Governor react when he finds out Merle lied about Michonne?

Cut off his other hand?

Come on man.

It doesn't ruin the show or anything like that. It's just something I noticed. Hitori Honzo was my first thought as well. And I realize that it would be more boring to have her try to slice off some dude's head and then spend the next 30 seconds trying to unbury her blade from the middle of his spinal column, but it just make me cringe a little watching her slice and dice living humans with the greatest of ease.

The ammo bothers me more because they always "just have enough"

I agree, but I assume that if the zombie infestation is completely widespread, then there are guns and ammo to be found. If it wiped out most of the population, there won't be tons of humans scavenging for that kinda shite.

The ammo thing does bother me sometimes too, though...especially when they just waste it. Like target practice at the farm, or even when Shane let the walkers out of the barn. They were taking unnecessary shots at them when one or two well-placed shots would've sufficed.

Overall it doesn't bother me too much, just kinda gets on my nerves sometimes, like the sword thing.

Gov maybe will want him dead, but Darryl saves him...and then Darryl and Merle eventually have a showdown?

I don't see Gov ever killing Merle unless he finds someone better. And by better, I mean a simple-minded one-man army that Gov can manipulate into doing his bidding. I know he has other goons, but Merle isn't just your average goon. He's a stone cold killer.

IMO, Merle is just as valuable to the Gov as the doctor.

I also noticed that Merle not only didn't mention his brother to Gov, but Gov also didn't ask. I was waiting for one of them to ask/say something about that, since a few episodes ago Merle wanted to go out looking for him and Gov said to wait till he had something more concrete (and that he'd go himself).

I'm still loving the show this season. But it's edging just a tad towards more plot driven developmens and away from character driven developments.

For instance, it just doesn't seem like Glenn and Maggie to hesitate to the point that Merle gets the drop on them. I think with all they've been through, they would have filled him full of holes the first time he twitched a finger wrong.

Also, and this is just a guess on my part but I'm thinking that Andrea's going all ga ga over the governor is in the service of some plot rather than a reflection of her character (although to be honest, that's kind of all over the place so it's not really that out of character). I think they're getting her in the governor's place to "accidently" discover some of his creepy stuff or overhear something - maybe about Glenn and Maggie or finding his daughter or something.

I don't know if you watch game of thrones, but when theon tried to cut that dude with the sideburns beard head off he got stuck in the neck.

Made for a sloppy kill.

I don't want to see michone hacking at necks.

Why didn't it work for Rick when he was clearing the prison sections by himself? He was covered in zombie blood.

It fits her character, but that would be interesting if she and Michonne are plotting something and Andrea is using/setting up the Gov for some higher purpose.

Rick was going after the zombies, not the other way around.

I can't wait for next week. I don't watch the previews, so I have no idea what's coming.

I think Merle has in his head that he will find out where the prison is and go find Daryl on his own. I think slowly but surely Merle is trying to pull away from the governor because he sees himself as a leader and has trouble with authority, just as he did in season 1.

Agreed. Merle is greedy, especially when it comes to power/control. He definitely would rather be running Woodbury than the Gov...and he'll likely have something to say about Gov banging Andrea.
