We have a local connection on this year (sort of). Jordy Searcy, who they showed a snippet of last night lives in Fairhope AL now but spent about the first 8 years of his life in Baton Rouge. He is on team pharrell and got 3 chairs to turn. I'll be roots get for him as I know the family - good people and all are musically inclined.

Filipino 15 year old girl has some pipes and a very nice tone. I love the song, so coupled with that and her voice, I was highly entertained. Liked her a lot.
LOVE Ethan Butler's voice, tone, range. Loved him. I was surprised he didn't get 4 chairs.
Little Tanner from last season wasn't great, but he's better than last season. I don't know that he'll last too long, but it was a nice moment to see him make it this time with Blake.
Pretty Woman guy was boring.
Female Gene Kelly was good. Sort of a smart arse. Not sure I like the personality. Pipes were good.

Not impressed with the current crop of talent so far. A few gems, but for the most part just a bunch of lounge singing wannabes. As per usual Adam is just is taking the majority of the true talent with Pharrell not to far behind.
Gwen is seriously approaching Paula Abdul territory with her talking about how cute everybody is. And she is still very reactionary when it comes to pushing her button. Every time she presses her button first only one other person will follow. If that.
What is up with Blake? He can't seem to get anybody with a damn. I like the country dude from last night, but his team is full of scrubs. A long fall from a few seasons ago when he pretty much got whoever he liked.

I agree that, so far, there aren't a ton of real standouts.

I think Pharrell is a serious player, and he pretty much has gotten whoever he wants. Blake has suffered.

Chris Jamison was my favorite last night.
I was surprised by some of the over the top reactions to some very mediocre singers. Maybe after some good coaching, they'll be better?

His appearance has been minimal, so far, compared to previous seasons. Coco hasn't even posted pics of him yet. He got a little creepier on the last show, though, but they don't show him much.
