Sad to see what was a brilliant show become such a trainwreck. Should they pull the plug or keep it on life support?

I hope they pull the plug, because I can't stop watching it even though I know it will suck

I only watched the first couple of episodes this season and only liked one of them

It's sad what it's become

Yeah at this point I'm just kind of tuning in to see how it will die.

I actually liked last week's episode for the most part, although I know most people didn't (based on the thread about it).

And I still enjoy the show a lot...it's still one of the shows I look most forward to watching each week. But the ratings are due solely to Nellie IMO. She's fricking awful, and I think the fans of the show are speaking up by tuning out.

Also, the article linked specifically talks about tons of shows that reached all-time lows...it wasn't just the Office. NHL playoffs and the NFL draft were dominant I guess.

Yeah, I liked the cold opening of the last episode, but that was about it.

It is merely a shell of its former self at this point. Time to put her down.

i have not watched a new episode in almost 2 years

it got so bad it turned me off on the first 4 season even though i love them. I feel like the crap now is just ruining the series as a whole

Last night I watched last weeks episode and then watched a rerun of the episode where Creed is the manager and trying to take the place down while Jim and crew interview potential managers. This made me realize how quick the descent of the show has been. Nellie has got to go.

It's been on a slow and steady decline for the last few years. The only time in the last few seasons where I felt like they were on the cusp of returning was this season during the episodes in Florida. I really thought they were going to do something to shake up Jim and Pam with the temp girl. However, they threw that storyline out the window and that girl hasn't been seen since.

I think it's universally accepted that Nellie is the worst character in the entire series.

Those were good episodes, especially the one with the temp girl trying to sleep with Jim and Dwight blowing it all up

I literally detest that character. She has not once made me laugh or even crack a smile

I'm obviously in the minority, but I don't have a problem with her.

ETA: for me, the worst is Robert, I can't recall too many funny things he's said and he is so creepy

I've seen a grand total of maybe 3 episodes since Michael left, it's just too unwatchable and simply not funny as frick. With that said, who is Nellie? I've never seen her or know what her character is.

The bit about the tacos with Nellie last week literally made me groan. It was just godawful and stupid. When Craig said "she's trying" it almost made me feel like he was talking to the audience about the disgusting slut that plays Nellie.
