I was disappointed in this episode. As always, Dwight will save an episode. If it sucks, Dwight will do something that will make it suck a little less.
I did think it was funny with Robert California was asking Dwight about hosting a party there and Dwight told him he could get a bunch of exotic meats then told the camera it was all be goat of course...

should have had Jim create a website that Dwight would use. Or better yet, a twitter account "@gardenpartytips". Then, he could have sent Dwight updates during the party.
For example:
- (for when Jim is thirsty) "be sure to refill all guests glasses when still 3/4th full, never ever let it get to 1/2 empty"
the writing a book angle was pretty stupid
Exactly. I liked the idea of Jim fricking with Dwight, but it could have been done much better. I like the tweeting idea, and seems so obvious now that you say it.

first Office I've loled at in a long time. The singer (name? just know my mom loves that guy) as Andy's brother was a great choice

I died when they did the Tableau Vivant.

The book idea was funny, but how did Jim write it, get it printed, and online for sale in time for Dwight to research it AFTER the invite for the party went up? I guess I'm thinking too much.

It's not hard at all to self-publish a book and put it on ebay.

Yeah, but he wrote a book with at least 9 chapters in time to publish it and sell it on ebay? How long did they know about the Garden Party?

It's a stretch, sure. We have no idea how big the print was or how many pictures. "Publishing it" and putting it on ebay would take literally less than 48 hours.

I laughed at everything he did in this episode

I guess we have the Hangover movies to thank for this..
This got me thinking... I would like to see Zach Galifankis make an appearance on The Office. His dry, twisted humor would add a new element to the show and it'd be interesting to see his interactions with all the different personalities in the office. I wouldn't want him to have a big role or be overly obnoxious though.

This episode was one of the better ones ive seen recently. Everything with Dwight at the party was hilarious.
I'm not sure why yall are debating the validity of Jim writing a book.... Who cares?? It was funny, get over if its possible or not.

It was funny but the running gag of the pranks have always been somewhat plausible. This was lame because the amount of work was silly for whatever minimal pleasure Jim was supposed to get out of it.
It felt like lazy writing...that's the problem.

I feel like I'm watching The Office these days just for the sake of watching The Office because it was hilarious in the past.
This episode is nothing to write home about...it was good to see Mose, but why is he trying to ride a scooter over all the cars? Why run over them? Why take Toby's fagmobile into the cornfield?
Andy was a tittybaby in this episode...I didn't like it. Jim's book--classic Jim and Dwight.
Is it just me or is there something likeable about Robert California (besides his name)?

Has anyone figured out how this mythical California can be in Scranton so often? Isn't Sabre located in Florida....or is he now working for ol' corporate in NYC?
Truthfully it bugs me a little
