pilot sucked but will give it another episode

I liked it. The main actor was a little over the top sometimes, but I liked everyone else. A lot of mystery in this show. I loved the ending.

ETA: I just read some of these posts. If you don't like being confused, you should probably wait until the series finale to watch anymore episodes. This one is going to stay a mystery until the end. There are so many different avenues they can take with this show. There are secret compounds, weird cults, crazy dreams, insane animals, and millions of missing people. I'm excited to see where it goes. Unlike many shows like this that I've seen on network TV, this one does not try to throw explosions or too much action in your face. I enjoy the slow and dreary feel to it. The soundtrack was also great.

I am pretty lost on it right now. Which is not unusual.

I have a feeling we are going to watch it for a while and still not know what is going on but will be entertained..

My thoughts while watching last night:

1) WTF is going on?
2) Go to Movie/TV Board to make sure I am not a complete moron. Confirms that I am not the only one that is in the dark.
3) Is this what high school parties are like now? Glad I don't have daughters.
4) Want to have sex with a girl? Want to be burned by a hot fork? Want to be choked by a cute girl while masturbating? Want a hug? There's an app for that. Goes to App Store.
5) Those people in the hospital gowns smoking are creepy as hell. I wonder what brand they smoke. Is it personal preference or does the cult vote on it?
6) Is the whole season gonig to be like this? Will we ever get a clue to what is going on? Is this really the second season of John from Cincinnati?
7) Loking forward to next week's episode.

Are they all over or just in this town?

Liked the show. Me and the wife were saying that in real life when a traumatic event happens cult and militia membership plus fringe church groups increase. This is that on steroids.

A few things that are unclear. Was the sheriff cheating on his wife when shite went down?

High school parties are different than I remember

What's with the black Jesus militia having mostly just Asian chicks?

Will continue to watch.

Couple of thoughts.
1. WTF was that?
2. WTH is going on?
3. Where do I get that app for my phone?
4. Those people in white are creepy.
5. This show is so effed up that I might just watch again next week.

From what I have read about this show there will be no explanation of the Rapture or where all those people went. This show is going to deal with the aftermath of the event. So if you are waiting for the mystery to be solved you'll be waiting a long time.

Also, I took the pack of dogs to be dogs that were previously owned by people who were raptured and have now gone feral. That's why they are not "our" dogs anymore.

You know, I was so pissed when I woke up this morning and discovered a 30 point point buck had broken down the door to my house and had completely trashed my kitchen. Happens all the time around here. God I hate that.

In the bar scene, the TV had Hillary Clinton doing a press conference. Is she the president in this world? If so, it truly is the end days.

I think I enjoyed the pilot, but since I have no idea where this story is going, I'm hesitant to say for sure, if that makes any sense. Are there any book readers up in here? Is this going anywhere? I heard an interview on NPR the other day with the author and he kept things pretty vague, only saying it's about dealing with sudden losses.
