The Jungle Book was one of my favorite movies growing up and never got around to seeing the newest release. Well, it's now on Netflix and I gotta say it's freaking amazing. I know, csb but I figured I'd pass it on that it's now on Netflix.

It took a while to get used to the talking animals (spoiler alert) because they look so real, but my wife and I loved it.

Watched it tonight. I was never a huge Jungle Book fan as a kid, but I thought this one was great. Leaves me with high hopes for Beauty and the Beast, which I watched a lot more as a kid.

Yeah, this version is really good. The voice acting for the animals is spot on. And the lion King shout out at the beginning was nice.

Idris Elba was an outstanding voice pick for Shere Khan!

The 1994 live action version is better, IMO.

I especially love how they tweak the roles/character of Shere Khan & Kaa, it's a much better fit to me.

I enjoyed the newest one, but think it was overhyped some. I'll be interested to see the other version when it comes out.

It was my favorite Disney movie as a small child. This version definitely did it justice

I thought it kind of sucked. Christopher Walken's Louie was just bad.

And the ending was just horrid.

He was a bit too "street" for my liking.

I agree with him. Fun movie, but Scarlett as Ka and Walken as Louie did the film no favors.

For the foreseeable future all Disney owned movies will now go to Netflix instead of the movie channels. The Force Awakens was the last Disney owned movie to go to Starz before the Netflix deal started.

Towards the beginning there's a scene where a herd of Buffalo (?) that run down into a rivine and crush a few animals I believe. Reminiscent of my big man mufasas death (RIP) which will live with me forever as the first tragic event in my poor life.
