so thawne has been losing his powers since he came to the current timeline 15 years ago when he killed Barry's mom. How does he have the ability to move faster than the flash barry, and how can he not then use the speed force to go back to his time?

The conclusion that some on the board have come to is that Thawne has experience on his side, while Barry has the power but no sense of how to use it to its fullest.
Barry seems to go as fast as is needed, exceeding his previous limits with each try.

when barry ran fast enough to run back in time, did he surpass the speed that current Thawne can reach? It would seem so b/c if thawne can run that fast, wouldn't he just be able to run back to his time? or does barry have to create the speed force and kind of stabilize it for others to be able to use it?

Just caught up on the last three episodes, and all I have to say is wow.

I don't think he surpassed his speed. Also, Flash only stayed that fast for a small jump. Thawne needs to run far into the future. His connection to the speed force is limited. So he cannot sustain. Maybe can't sustain that type of speed for even a small jump.
Essentially, your last sentence nails it. The speed force didn't exist before Barry. If he leaves his universe(say a time jump to a seperate universe) it gets taken away as well....I think. Death is different though. In death he joins/merges with the speed force itself, again, I think. It's way too late to try and remember this stuff.

Personally I'm jacked up to see the Mirror Master moreso than any of the other villains aside from Reverse-Flash. I hope they do him justice.

I can't wait to see them do Mirror Master. He has the potential to be really cool...if they do him right.

anybody ever read geoff johns run on the flash while he wrote wally west? he did about 10 issues just on each villain. the mirror master one is one of my all time favorites. its issue 212 if anyone is interested.

I always considered the Mirror Master as Flash's main villain. Zoom didn't make enough appearances in the Silver Age to take that role (for me anyway).

I liked the second video where they broke down everything in the final episodes trailer. There is some pretty interesting stuff in there that I didn't catch with it going full speed.

Iris continues to be a worthless bitch. She can be mature and accept her cop boyfriend is keeping a job-related item from her for her own protection or she can be a entitled, immature count and threaten to break up if she doesn't get her way. I hope she dies soon. Painfully.
