Expendables 2 was actually way better than the first. It was fun to watch.

He died in 2. I wanted to see Seagal and Jakie Chan

Sylvester Stallone offered a supporting role to Jackie Chan but Chan refused because he want to play a lead role.

Steven Seagal was offered a role, but he declined.

As per IMDB

I still think Marvel needs to cast Stallone as Frank Castle.

What the hell for? Ask Bruce Willis how that worked out with Live Free or Die Hard.

I don't know why these movies would be R to begin with. Cut the actual gore aspect just a bit and it's a textbook pg-13 movie by today's standards. They are throwing out way too big of a net with all these stars to handicap it with an R rating. That's how Hollywood sees it at least.

You barely even have to do that. R rated violence basically doesn't exist anymore. I think you just have to package it right to get the PG-13 rating.

Three men are about to rape a woman but another man comes and slices one man's hand off with a knife with blood shown spraying, then decapitates another man, you see the bloody stump for a brief second. Another man is stabbed directly in the throat with a long blade, the man twists the blade and blood sprays from the throat.
One scene from the first Expendables. There are many more examples. Making it PG-13 will change things.

Yeah to be honest those are the tweaks I mean. You can't really show the direct results of people getting stabbed/dismembered in Pg-13 world. I wouldn't think that would be a deal breaker for most people except in horror movies.

I dunno Terry Crews coming in hot with the AA12 made it for me.

IMO, this is selling out. Having to "tweak" The Expendables does not sound fun to me. One of the reasons I hated Terminator Salvation.

A source with knowledge of the situation says the fallout was over a specific money demand. Willis was offered $3 million for four days of consecutive work on location in Bulgaria for the film. "He said he'd drop out unless he got $4 million," this source close to the production says. "A million dollars a day. Stallone and everybody else involved said no."

Wow.

I think less of Willis now.
