The movie isn't based on that book, despite their obvious similarities.

Have you ever seen the "Uncut" UK ending? It makes the movie so much creepier.

This. Although I enjoyed both versions.

Scared the living crap out of me the first time I saw it. Great movie to watch if you have surround sound.

I got kicked out of the Fave at the mall and "banned for life" for sneaking into this movie when I was 17 but everyone I was with was 16

Awesome movie. Very underrated and one of my go-to's when people haven't seen it. Like Baloo said, it's creepy as frick and pretty terrifying before a single monster shows up. I actually remember watching it and thinking that the monsters were pretty unnecessary since being trapped underground would be scary enough.

And I don't mind either ending...I like them both.

And 28DL is bad fricking arse. 28WL, not so much.

And I love that Dog Soldiers got a nod in here. I haven't seen it yet but the trailer for it look so hilariously bad that I've wanted to watch it for a while now.

I thought they overdid the monster angle. Almost ruined the movie for me but luckily the ending saved it.

I agree. The monsters are pretty good/scary, but they weren't necessary IMO...or at least could've been toned down some.

I actually liked 28 weeks later better than the first.

Finally watched this movie today. It was recommended to me in 2006 and a couple times after but I've just never gotten around to watching it.

Hole. E. shite.

I've been missing out. Thought the movie did a great job of blending moments intended to make you jump and a creepy atmosphere that sticks with you after the movie is over.

Probably the best horror movie I've been introduced to since seeing The Strangers in theaters is instantly one of my favorites.

Will be adding to the blu ray collection very soon
