But that Katrina episode ruined the fun of watching what current event they were going to skewer next. Everybody knew they would do an episode on Katrina so it kind of it took some of the surprise element out of it.

Considering that this was one of the best episodes they've ever made, I have to strongly disagree.

Don't consider it one of the best, but def not a sub par episode.

I personally think that The Hobbit episode from last season was a top tier episode. I also thoroughly enjoyed World War Zimmerman.

I stopped when they first had the Coon. It was already pretty bad at that point but those episodes were just so boring I couldn't take it anymore.

2010 alone had Sexual Healing, Scrotie McBoogerballs, Medicinal Fried Chicken, You have 0 Friends, Crippled Summer, Poor and Stupid, It's a Jersey Thing, and Creme Fraiche

2011 has HumancentIpad and Funnybot

Not every episode is a riot, and some are complete wastes and merely unwatchable (royal wedding and thankgiving episodes) but to say that every has sucked since 2005 is pretty lame

I agree 100% OP

I mean there are still good episodes, but consistently hilarious? No, it's been a while since they were that. I think 2008 (season 11) was the year it stopped being like the best show on TV to just being an alright show.

I honestly just stopped watching after 2-3 episodes this season. Not sure I'll ever continue watching again really. I don't think Matt and Trey's heart is even in it anymore. The quality drops more every season.

It sucks balls now. I loved early SP- the bizarre, surreal, offensive take on sitcoms. Once it started getting political and topical, it went downhill. Not ncessarily by virtue of being political, but because Trey and Matt basically have neglected all the characters and instead are pounding one topical joke into our skulls for an entire episode. It's a shell of itself and nowhere near as clever as it used to be.

Does not exist.

Maybe your relation to South Park has changed (or your socio-political views).

They've only become smarter at what they do, maybe even too smart. I will say their dud episodes are more DUD-like, (read worse), and that's often because they are reaching too far. But their best episodes are still top tier television.

I think that South Park overall has changed a lot since its inception. I prefer their style of humor back in the early 2000's and maybe late 90's, but I still like most of the stuff they put out today. Trey and Matt have changed and so has the show. Overall I still think that they put out a quality product, with a few duds here and there. I'm just thankful that they've gone on this long. I mean, who would have expected 17+ years from these guys?

This last season was great.

I think a few episodes from the past few seasons may have dragged while they were busy with The Book of Mormon, but they responded to that by changing the format and doing a 10 episode season.

I think they're as good as they've ever been.
