I watched TPM yesterday and was shocked at how crappy of a movie this is. I remember somewhat enjoying it in the theaters when it was released but man its so bad. One of the cheesiest movies I've ever seen. And actually the acting was not that bad. The first 40 minutes are so are just extremely lame and the dialogue is incredibly cheesy. Don't even get me started on Jar Jar Binks. Absolute worst character in a motion picture ever.

For years on the M/TV board (and before the M/TV board, the OT), Episode 1 was without question considered the worst of the series. Now, all of a sudden, Episode 2 seems to have replaced it as the most reviled.

Why the change?

The whole fricking payoff of the movie felt rushed and totally forced. Nothing was as good as it should have been from the birth of Luke and Leia, to the dying of a broken heart, to the birth of Vader, the turning of Anakin, it all sucked and it all was laced with awful dialogue. I may not let my son watch any of the prequels after we are done with the OT.

III was OK. The fight between Obi Wan and Anakin was WAY too long and lost all meaning about 5 minutes in.

General Grievous didn't do anything cool in the movie at all. He just throws henchmen at the good guys, runs away...chases Obi Wan, whips out 4 light sabers and dies.

They cut out a scene of him killing Jedi in front of Anakin and Obi Wan. I think that should have definitely made the movie. Also, saying he is the key to the war but not even being mentioned in II takes a lot away from him. With Jabba the Hut and the Emperor in RoTJ, you've heard their names mentioned multiple times in the first two movies. Grevious should've been the Separatist Leader from the beginning instead of the two asian sterotype dumbasses.
