Star Wars trailer not shown today before Avengers!!!???

I thought it was being shown...so did all my friends who came with me. We were pumped to see it on the big screen...but it did not play.
I found many articles confirming that it was supposed to have been shown. What gives here? What say you? Thoughts? Am I missing something?
We were at the 11am AMC MallofLa location, by the way.

We didn't see it in IMAX or 3D. I don't know if that has to do with anything.

The Grand in Kenner didn't have it. But did have the FF trailer and Tomorrowland and Superman v Batman.

Thursday night Regal IMAX had it, along with Jurassic World, Fantastic Four, and Superman/Batman.
