bullshite. I've spent countless days analyzing what I want in a Star Wars movies, how to correct the prequels/Return of the Jedi, and I think I checked all the boxes. It's wonderful and I'm guessing you want to hate it. Athens is bringing up legit points without trolling or bogging down the thread. It's clearly a good movie. I can see it's similarities to the original can be off-putting, but I loved it and that's how I wanted it. Maybe it's subjective, but I can't let a few subtle stupidities like bring BB-8 into the bar get the best of me.

Just got out. I loved it. It had its flaws but damn was that a good movie with a ton of hidden plot that they didnt allow out.
It was a blast.
Also, was anyone hoping that when Ren ran into Luke and held out the saber, he would just light up his own and it would either be red(or some other wild color) or he would just say, "begin"?

So....was Kylo the apprentis that Luke was training that went bad? I assume it was but the never come out and say it.

I think the point of all this is it was a huge frick-up to make the Storm Troopers all clones, so they made a main character a Storm Trooper. There were probably other Storm Troopers who had a problem with what they were doing, but they just carry out their jobs.

Han and Leia sent Ben to Luke to be trained thinking it would control his Vadar temperament. He was somehow found by Snoke and turned dark and was convinced into killing all the other trainees.

Nah, Rey was abandoned early on in her life. I think Kylo's training was a bit more recent than Rey's abandonment. Plus I think Rey is Luke's bastard child.

The only big gripe I had was that the supreme leader reminded me of the great goblin in the hobbit. I don't understand why he had to be CGI

This is exactly how I feel. It wasn't a masterpiece by any means but it fits the Star Wars mold, was a great movie, made me feel a range of emotions and got me pumped and excited to see the next one.

Their are very few, if any Fett clones left in the Storm Troopers due to Kamino being destroyed shortly after the fall of the republic.
But I concur that most just do their job.

Why would the Rebels necessarily take over the government? They just toppled it's leader thousands of light years from the Capital. Surely someone could have stepped in. The Rebels may have continued to fight their way across the Galaxy and been fine when an actual Republic took the Empire's place. Now it's just a series of Imperials running the Empire and then Snoke takes over. I don't see why this is implausible.
