Since all of the questions have been answered, yes absolutely worth watching. And it’ll add some extra appreciation to The Mandalorian and Book of Boba Fett since several characters who appear in those 2 shows were first introduced in Clone Wars series

Outside of the OT, it’s arguably the best part of the Universe, including the Mandalorian (which is not a knock on Mando)

Within a year of Clone Wars the movie, probably. Roughly concurrent/same era as the movie, and it ends just after Ep III.

I find it to be a very unique show. I think there are 2 or 3 different 3 episode arcs where neither Anakin nor Kenobi are even mentioned. S5 e12 is about a Clone never before seen/mentioned: Gregor. He’s got amnesia and is reminded of who he is by a few droids (I think the is the 2nd or 3rd of a mini-series that just has a few droids as main characters. R2 is among them, but I don’t really think that counts). I’m not certain it would be a great standalone movie. If there were an FPS/Halo-like video game, it certainly would have made for an iconic level there. And it’s one of my favorite episodes.

The animated series fill a good bit of holes. I felt like it changed how i viewed the original trilogy. Watching Yoda's interactions with Obi-Wan have a different angle whe you look at it as Yoda knowing what all is about to happen

Yes, though I will admit, the first season is kinda meh up until the last few episodes. The rest of the series is excellent. Tons of great storylines, great backstory on characters that appear in the movies, and a ton of quality lore added to the universe.

It takes place between Episode 2 and Episode 3...during the Clone Wars. Some of the episodes during the final season take place DURING the events of episode 3, simply from a different character's perspective.

There's several great multi-episode arcs that could have worked as a movie, but the best, in my opinion, is the one they did in the final season. They had a multi-episode arc occurring during Episode 3 about Mandalore. I don't want to say anything else about it because there are serious spoilers.

Rebels is kinda trash, but Clone Wars is excellent. Like I said, it starts kinda slow (which is also on purpose since they introduce a lot of characters at the start that the audience needs to get to know), but once it starts rolling, it becomes one of the best American animated tv series of all time that children can watch (so, Family Guy, American Dad, Rick & Morty, Simpsons, Futurama, etc would be a different category). Rebels is on par with Batman: The Animated Series, Gravity Falls, Spiderman, Beast Wars, and even has arcs that rival Transformers: The Movie.

Watch the “Ashoka cut” episodes and the entire last 2 seasons and you should hit all the high notes. That’s what I did
