I'm not trying to be an arse but Is this a satire thread? Seriously? What adult professional film critic would actually do a review on a movie like this? Reviews for a spongebob movie should be done by 8-10 year olds. I just took my 6 year old and he loved it. That's all that matters. Every child in the theater was entertained. That was the goal. I actually liked the characters on land. They looked like toys come to life. Different than the 400 times I've had to watch the tv show with my kids.

Here's my official review: don't take a date/spouse to see it. It's worth taking your kids, however.

I took my son. It's a movie that is for kids and people on acid.

Adult professional film critics review almost every type of movie.

This is worse than people on this board complaining about the most recent Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. My kids watched it and enjoyed it.

And blew expectations and the rest of the box office out of the water this weekend.
