Yeah, I know.
And Stan thinking she is "really good and talented" isn't a compliment from Parker and Stone; it's showing how easy it is, in general, for someone to have really good sounding music when there's technology involved and getting a huge fan base of people that don't understand the difference. Maybe more of making fun of a collective group of singers today rather than just making fun of Lorde.

yea, she's more Enya like, ie a synth-pop artist, while Gaga is more of this generations Madonna or Boy George, along with they other Miley Cyrus's and what not that confuse controversy with talent.

But the characters literally complimenting her and the show likely selling a shitload of downloads for her is. If it were ancillary, frivolous characters talking about how good she is, I'd agree, but it's Stan. Sure, they're poking fun at her looks and the whole auto tune generation, but when they don't like a musician, they don't beat around the bush about it. Phil Collins, Cher, and Enya are perfect examples. There was nothing subtle about any of that.

Yeah, they've been pretty merciless about her, even having Cartman use her name as a curse word in the South Park movie. To date, I think she's the only celebrity who has stupidly, publicly been upset by it.
