So based on the preview they are definitely going after the taxi companies.

Stan was surprised that Lord ended up being Randy because of how good he thought of the music

yea one of the reasons SP is classic is the subtlety that zips right by a lot of viewers.

You definitely missed their point. They were not saying Lourde is crap at all.

This also touches on their video game since he would be the transportation in the game.

Dude, give it up. I guess you think you're too invested in your statement to give up now, but Stan said her music was refreshing and good, and so did his mom. She even went on a mini monologue about it at the end. Randy recording himself on the toilet does not mean South Park thinks it's crap.

You've lost today, kid, but that doesn't mean you have to like it. Now get back there and post like no one is watching. Good luck.

junior, a shame you don't understand what's happening.

they treat lorde like another similar singer they panned pretty well, that being Enya. I'll assume you missed that as well since your observation skills are about nil.

Well they were. They've said many times that Stan is basically their de facto voice.

Yes, Stan calling Enya "cheesy and lame" and trying to run away from her music is the same as him saying "dad, Lorde's music is actually really good" and his mother saying "if I could talk to Lorde right now, you know what I'd tell her? I'd tell her not to let people change who she is. I'd tell her that if people are making fun of her, it's probably because they've lost touch with being human. I'd tell her to keep doing what she does..."

And you thought you were insightful and that you were seeing nuances and subtleties that others weren't. That's so adorable. I'm normally a fairly compassionate person, but your sadness amuses me.

Clearly some people need to re-watch The Tale of Scroty McBoogerballs.

Stan's mom's monolog told the audience how they really feel. The crap stuff was just because they thought it'd be funny. It was pretty obvious to anyone not trying to overthink it.

I kinda though that Sharon really knew Randy was Lorde and was just giving him a pep talk. It seemed to me at the time that they were saying "look, I made up a bunch of words and auto tuned them".

I'm not really into defending these opinions though. So I'm okay if you disgree. Just what I thought after that scene.

I think they were actually spoofing people who believe Lorde is just auto tune crap that anyone could do, or at the least, her less than perfect looks. I don't think they would have their characters praise her like that if they wanted to trash her.

I think the homes is just projecting his own dislike of her onto the episode.

It was pretty easy to see that they were making fun of her. Comparing her music to a 40yo man singing on the toilet then using autotune to make it sound better is not complimenting her.

I think you misunderstood the entire episode. Randy being Lorde can from a throw away joke at the end of Gluten Free Ebola.

The Spin article is what started the entire thing

You know the funny thing is she's pretty much shite on every pop artist out there.

So I wouldn't compare her to Gaga
