That doesn't exactly jive w/the email that was saying they maybe shouldn't use Denzel in big budget action flicks b/c they thought the rest of the world was too racist to turn out big for a flick starring a black man

I agree but Elba as the next James Bond has been an internet rumor for years. The biggest issue is that by the time filming starts he might be considered too old.
I think he could pull it off. He has the British accent and women love him. If nothing else the initial film would do well just based off the novelty of having the 1st Black James Bond
