I watch Braveheart at least once a year. One of my top 5 movies of all time. I used to be able to quote every single line in this 3 hour movie in my college days, complete with terrible my terrible Scottish/English/French/Irish accent, as the scene required.

was busy having kids in the 90's just didn't get to movies much and wife wasn't into them either. I am now- and I have a pretty good home setup, so I watch ones that I have always wanted to see as treats. bet you wish you were getting your mind blown by braveheart for the first time tonight.

Also- I have never seen Titanic and never will- so I have that going for me.

I got to visit North Scotland last summer and visited my family castle ruins. North of Glasgow is still green paddocks and stone farmhouses, pretty amazing.

Seems to me that going to scotland is sort of like going to the south in a lot of ways. I haven't been in 30 years.

Great movie, historical inaccuracies notwithstanding. I get chills every time when Hammish hurls the sword.

I'm jealous. It would be awesome to watch Braveheart again for the first time.

It is an all-time great movie. The one thing people always bitch about is its historical accuracy--or lack thereof.

Remember that it is not meant to be a historical account. It is a movie adaptation of a classic epic poem about William Wallace.

Most of all--ENJOY! It is spectacular.

I always enjoyed the fact that the movie was written by Randall Wallace after learning about William Wallace on a tour in Scotland.

Brave heart

Gladiator

Dances With Wolves

The last of The Mohicans

The historical fact-checking is atrocious, but if you're watching for accurate depictions of the contemporary culture, dress, etc, you might as well just watch the History Channel (assuming you have a time machine and can go back to the long-lost era of the History Channel actually showing educational shows about history.) Other than that, it's a fun movie, especially when Mel refers to the Queen Mother as "sugar tits."

My favorite movie of all time. Ill never forget seeing it in theaters as a kid. It wasnt my first pick of movies to see, but I missed the movie I really wanted to see, and ended up watching this amazing piece of cinema.

I dont care how old I get, the finale will always give me chills.
