Don't know what Theta Protocol truly is, but the episode led into AoU nicely.

I'm glad Grant bailed on them, and didn't go through with the Tahiti Project. I thought that would be a pretty lame way to get him back on the team. I'm glad they didn't go that route.

I guess Skye is some sort of badass hand to hand fighter now. That slo-mo fight scene she had was pretty cool, but I'm not sure if I'm buying her as that badass of a fighter at this point. But it was pretty cool just the same.

I loved Coulson owning Gonzalez. I'm guessing that put him in his place.

The Hydra guy also mentioned the twins. I'm wondering if they have anything to do with Theta Protocol. It would make sense that that would be what Coulson got off their computer.

I will say that it is cool that the show is linked with the movies but it would be nice if the show took a week or 2 break after the movie's release to give the fans a little time to see it. There were major CA spoilers is the episode following the release. I assume AoU will have similar spoilers in the next weeks episode.

That's what DVR is for. Definitely not watching next week's episode until I see AoU next Friday.

At what point do they and she start referring to her as Agent Johnson?

Soon after Cal sacrifices himself for her and her mother and she decides to honor him by going by her birth name.

Sooooo, thinking the season finale? Scenes with Cal seemed to get in the way especially since he was acting like a child most of this episode. His only scene should have been explaining his history with Raina and how dangerous she can be. Thought that was quite well done. Had begun to feel sorry for her.

Jemma sure does seem to have a death wish these days. Ward probably should have shot her but it was funny to see him instead go the "son, I am disappoint" route.

yea that was a little surprising to see her acting like a crack shot ninja.

Yeah, I like Ward's reaction. And he is right, her character seems to have changed more than anyone else over 2 seasons. I still don't know why she did just get a gun instead of trying to use the one time use disintegration bomb thing.

I wonder if he will stick around on the show, or is that it for him?

As she learns to control her powers, she can effect sonic vibrations in the vicinity. It's a stretch, but conceiveable that she is confident that she can deflect bullets off course if needed.

One thing about that continuous shot scene that I wish they would've done differently was have her use her power once or twice during it. She used her power when they first entered the run, but she didn't at all during the continuous slo-mo sequence.

I wasn't sure if she was using her powers or not during that action scene. Some of the Hydra fellows got shots off. Figured, there were either implying that she was using her powers to deflect them or that the change she underwent included some superhuman (or Inhuman) strength/speed capabilities as a bonus.

I took it as May has been training her. There was a lot of May in Skye's movements.

Skye's Sonic the hedgehog reference to Raina had me rolling laughing, that was perfect

Yes, May was training her, but got to admit that was a big jump in fighting abilities from Skye pre-transformation. Feel like the show was trying to make a bigger point with that scene and the prior one with her controlling her powers so well. Or maybe it was meant to be a quick and dirty (and very cool) transition to get her back in the mix fighting at this level moving forward. Of course, she was also trying to safe a potential love interest, in Lincoln.

Yep, that is how I took it. She definitely doesn't have super speed or reflexes or anything (unless they changed her from the comics, which I doubt).
