meh. Bobbi is clearly being set up to stay around. The rest kind of seem crazy.

Yeah, outside of Bobbi and Mac they seem pretty doing everything they are accusing Phil of.

Charlie Francis/Calderon seems to be in full bad guy mode on this show with the whole shooting at Skye with real bullets.

Bobbi seems to be having second thoughts. Nice to see Deathlok again.

Yeah, she is prime for a team switch.

I liked Simmons and Fitz pulling the rug over their eyes. And I can't believe Skye's mother is still alive.

Yeah, didn't they show Whitehall all but dismember her?

And Skye looked especially hot in this episode.

I have a feeling Hydra is already in "Real" SHIELD, thus making Coulson seem right about keeping secrets.

They did but her face was pretty scarred up last night. In a Frankensteinish way. Perhaps one of the Elders found her remains and put her back together?

Yeah that was definitely implied IMO with the scarring on her face. Her super power is probably quick healing or immortality given the fact that she doesn't age.

It definitely is. That is why Whitehall looked the exact same age as his did in the flashbacks to right after the war. He experimented on her and discovered a way to gain or syphon off some her power. I'm thinking that Calvin/Hyde sewed her back together and allowed her to heal. That was the vibe that I kind of got from their conversation.

I'm curious as to what Gordon meant when he told Calvin that he had sealed Skye's fate. I'm guessing he was just talking about exposing her to the world, but I'm wondering if he also meant that she would now be a prisoner there just like Calvin is (despite everyone telling Skye she could leave whenever she wanted).

The slight sympathy I held for Cal kind of evaporated once it was shown his wife was still alive.

Not sure why he wouldn't have been allowed to tell Skye that she survived Whitehall's experiments.

well shite, I'm back to feeling bad for Cal again. Kyle Maclachlan has really been a highlight this year. Damn TV budget keeping him from going full Hyde is frustrating though.

How is the tv budget the reason we haven't seen him go "full Hyde"? The Flash has had a ton of special effects (they even have had a freaking giant gorilla). I would think that ABC would have a bigger budget than CW.

But I have really enjoyed the storyline(s) thus far. It'll be interesting to see how they handle Coulston giving himself up to the "other" SHIELD. I can't wait to see how the others react when they bring him in.

My only complaint is that it appears that they are going to use the Tahiti Project as an easy plot device to graft Grant back onto the team. I guess they needed to come up with some explainable excuse to allow him back, but the Tahiti Project just seems to be a little big of a cop out.

ABC, but this point will still stand. CW only has to program about 10-12 hours a week. ABC has to program closer 70. While ABC's budget is definitely bigger, it's also spread out wayyyy more.

Basically what ProP said concerning the budget being more spread out for ABC. I doubt doing a decent looking transformation is cheap. It also doesn't help that w/SHIELD they are constantly having to blow some budget on the quinjet's invisibility ability. Gordon's teleportation probably sucks up a bit of cash as well.

True, but I still think they could have him transform if they really wanted to do it. But you and ProP definitely have a point with ABC's (I don't know why I was thinking FOX) budget being more spread out.

It could also be that they are saving a big portion of the budget for the tail end of the season since that will coincide with the Ultron fallout.

One more drain on the budget is likely the amount of different locations SHIELD uses compared to Arrow and Flash. SHIELD goes to different places quite often and recently has the main cast split up w/3 different major locations for the various factions. Most of where Arrow and Flash have been shooting are permanent sets which again reduces budgetary strain.

hopefully, with the better ratings this season, next season's slice of the pie will be bigger.

Or, it could just be further split with the Bobbi/Hunter spinoff being rumored.
