Love this show buts it's such a double edged sword in that it's only 3 episodes and then a very long wait for more

Did I miss something? How did Mary die? Was there something that led us to believe what happened to her or are we all in the dark?

Yes. You missed something. Like the entire first episode of the season.

It was a great episode. One of the best of the series. Loved it.

I also started Dexter last night and watched the first 2 eps before watching Sherlock, so last night was a creep show.

That was easily one of the best if the series. The first epi of the season was, I hate to say, one of the worst.

Love this show - easily one of my all-time top 10. I hope they continue on, I don't care if it takes 2-3 years between each series.

Spoilers

I refuse to believe that Mary is dead/died that way. This show has never shown even an inkling of that ridiculous kind of thing.

Something else is afoot here.

That's not a spoiler so I'll just answer. Mary was always going to die. She died in the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle series. The writers said it was fun doing the trio, but it was always going to be about getting back to the "two blokes."

Well this was certainly better than that terribly terrible first episode. The bits of the actual case were pretty good, the best Sherlock has been I think since season 1-2. Not as good as 1-2 but going in the right direction. The bits with the woman were subpar, in part because it was too obvious from the beginning what was going on.

That was amazing. I knew that it was the same woman , but Sherlock's sister?

Wow!

fantastic episode.

next one is called the final problem, which is probably the most infamous sherlock story for what happens at the end.

Mind. Blown.

Seriously didn't expect that twist at all. So are we to assume she's Moriarity's right hand man or that Moriarity was working for her?
