For about 3% of the movie.

Eta: and most of her time involves her getting beat up by the cops.

Selma would've been better had they not strayed from the facts regarding LBJ.. They had a chance to make an important and well made film(which it was) about an important timeframe of change but decided to villianize someone who doesn't need any help in those regards. Thought the acting was solid and overall the movie was put together better than Sniper but I still enjoyed sniper more.. Mainly because I was irritated with some factual inaccuracies that didn't advance the story.

WOAH WOAH WOAH...you can't be a rational adult here, this is Tigerdroppings. I think what you meant to say was "Selma was liberal propagandist trash and everything about it sucked and f**& Oprah! Shawshank Redemption is a 1000 times better than Selma."

But seriously, I heard basically the same thing. That is probably why I haven't been in a hurry to watch Selma. I'll keep that in mind when I get around to watching. Safe to say to take reviews for both movies with an extreme grain of salt.

American Sniper was very good, but it's not my favorite war movie either. It was captivating because I thoroughly enjoyed the book and knowing what became of the real Chris Kyle in the end is almost as poetic as an ancient Greek tragedy. And it hits home with you in that regard. I watched Selma too and it was a big Meh. *shrug*

Nice troll. Nothing like a biopic that makes the president an enemy to provide a villain for blacks to hate white people to make a great movie.

Most on here won't even give Selma a chance, like 12 years a slave, because of the subject material.
most, huh?

I would argue that most on here have seen both, and very few have seen neither.

What is the point you are really getting at? I know what it is, but wonder if you have the balls to say it.

I think AS was better than Selma, but enjoyed both. Both took disgusting liberties with historical events. . .but Selma manufactured so many more bullshite scenes.

12 years a slave was better than both, and even it shite on it's source material.

Doesn't need to, all you need to do is go read the two posts that got the most upvotes in this thread.

I honestly 100% was just trying the make a point about the movies themselves. I know it is hard to believe, but it is the truth. I don't troll on this site.

The point you're thinking of....well I don't think it needs to be said. Other posters make that point on their own all the time. Why don't you say what that point is...if you have the balls to say it.

Most anything is better than American Sniper. People just get their 'Murica rocks off while watching it. Everything American Sniper does, dozens of movies have done better.

The point he is thinking of was never my point to begin with. It isn't my fault that he drew the wrong conclusions my posts.
