It's basically a football musical.

Sad thing is I still watch it every time it's on TV.

Its a good movie but the football scenes were pretty bad. When Julius caught the guy running down the sideline it was painfully obvious that the guy wasnt actually running hard

Yes, Rudy.

Total Hoosiers rip off, and he was offsides.

Maybe it's your hatred of Notre Dame.

Rudy didn't have people singing in every scene, token gay players, etc...

Never seen Remember the Titans but the majority of hollywood sports movies are largely cheesy. Probably because hollywood writers, directors and actors were not athletes and having never played grew up with a romanticized view of sports.

He wasn't actually gay.

I know. And there wasn't near the amount of racial tension as was portrayed in the movie. Gerry Bertier wasn't running across the field taunting and pointing in the opposing coach's face.

Seriously. OP is an idiot.

ETA: I retract that bit about the OP because he claims he knew Sunshine wasn't actually gay.

All that said Remember the Titans is often considered one of the best sports movies made, and certainly one of the best football movies made. Who gives a shite if it wasn't historically accurate?

Only saw it once. Found it to be incredibly cliche and corny.

It's definitely cheesy, but I'd be lying if I said I haven't seen it 100 times, and won't see it another 100.
