Re-name the lame History Channel thread.

Since the History Channel is ignoring the 70th Anniversary of VJ Day, it obviously has little to nothing to do with history.

The sad thing is they've had some solid history based productions like Vikings, Hatfield and McCoys, and are working with Jeremy Renner on a Knights Templar production similar to Vikings. It doesn't have to be all history docs to be satisfactory history entertainment. But ignoring VJ Day is just odd.

Or how about a multiple season covering Greece, if nothing else the Pan-Greek wars against Persia, then, later, Philip and Alexander.
You could do a season on Sparta, a season on Athens, a season covering their conflicts - then add in Persia.

70th anniversary? How many important events are memoralized in a 70th anniversary? Usually, the big numbers are 10th, 25th, 40th, 50th, 75th, 100th.

History's main channel ignored it, but their military channel and channel 2 had things on it.
