That's actually a compliment to Nolan.

And if my list shows anything, I think it's simply ridiculous to want Nolan to run the DC Universe. His best films tend to be his own ideas. I'd rather he get creative than be tied down to anything.

1) Memento - pretty unique film
2) The Prestige - Enjoyed the narrative with a hint of fantastical
3) Inception - good concept, enjoyed the ending
4) Batman Begins- good origin story, though we didn't need another origin story
5) The Dark Knight - The fall of harvey dent was rushed
6) Interstellar - about 1.5 hrs too long. visually nice but so many folks made bad decisions
7) The Dark Knight Rises - bane was the best part

Haven't seen the Following or Insomnia, but will add them to the list.

The prestige lacks the flash of some of his other films, but that is probably my favorite film he has made. It is almost perfect in my opinion.
