I am partial to the kid who spits in Tulip's face. Then talks her way out of getting blow away by the devil. Then leads him to the Preacher and escapes down the staircase.

It's not everyone's thing. I'll give you that. But it's pretty entertaining to me.

I thought that's what the shirt said, but I had to back up the DVR to verify.
I laughed, then laughed some more when I thought about Falcons fans watching the show.

Arseface in hell was a pretty great episode. Granted it doesn't have the impact the comic had, but it was still good nevertheless.
And they're bringing in the inbreed J faction, major props for that.

Me and the wife are enjoying it. Interested to see what Jesse background is in New Orleans, it's most likely his mother side. Maybe she was into voodoo or something. Never read the comic so I'm just speculating. I think it's a pretty good show and Lacour is a terrible poster.

The show has strayed so much from the comic, it's hard to say where they're going with this. Yes, it's his mother's side. When he told the guy in the voodoo shop that his name was Jesse L'Angelle, it was a nod to his mom's side of the family.
There was no voodoo angle in the comic, unless they're planning on merging the Dixie Fried storyline with the Until the End of the World storyline. None of this silliness with the soul harvesting.
I'm enjoying the show for what it is.

He's everyone's cool contrarian. He has it all figured out.

I chuckled at the Falcons shirt.
I thought last nights episode was one of the best of the season. Herr Starr is perfect.. that whole montage of his training was hilarious.
I just hope the rest of the country doesn't think we actually have "dead" or "drunk" wagons that just pick up folks on the side of the road.. haha

Who cares if it follows the comic, I'm a Hodor for this one and the show is a good time. The scam with having them shoot Cassidy was great. I'm loving the German guy, Herr Starr.

If they even closely follow the comic, you're going to love/hate Starr even more.

Not a bad show. However, I lost track on this last episode. Going to have to watch again.

Show is great. This episode introduced Herr Star and the grail. And they did it magnificently.
I cant tell you how many times i laugh out loud watching this show.
Props to Seth Rogen getting this on TV.

Listening to Rogen on Stern a week before the show aired he mentioned why it strayed.
Apparently they've had many failed attempts getting this show on the air since the late 90s because the source material is kinda controversial. Seth and Evan realized to get it on air they had to change a few things and update it for the times. That's where the changes came in..
Rogen also added a comedic element which the show has hugely benefited from.

You've been warned.
I hope, at some point, they recreate this scene exactly:

Yeah, like Arseface would not make any sense today. Cobain ' s suicide was fresh in our memories back then, using that origin would not have the same impact today.
I do hope they have chicken fricking with Preacher's Louisiana family. Preacher had some serious themes, definitely, but also one of the funniest comics I ever read. It was the little things in that comic.
