He was a great Bond.
He really did get shitty scripts after Goldeneye.

I remember when the Halle Berry one came out and people said it was the best bond ever. I saw it. Jesus, people are stupid.
says the guy who has 50 posts in the WWF/WCW/Who gives a shite about wrestling's direction thread.
I agree, though.

Am I the only person who loves Tomorrow Never Dies? The Chinese chick is awesome. Teri Hatcher?
Agree with Die Another Day - worst ever. C'mon - an invisible car? Madonna?

When young people think of James Bond most think of Brosnan because of the Goldeneye video game.
And yes.. He's what I picture James Bond as.

I catch a lot of hell for this but Moore is my favorite Bond.
Moore wasn't my favorite Bond but he was in some of the best Bond movies.

I agree that Goldeneye was a great Bond film and easily Brosnan's best. The only other Brosnan Bond movie I liked was Tomorrow Never Dies.
My vote for most underrated Bond movie is License to Kill. Liked the real world feel of it, and it is very dark for a Bond film.

I've really liked Craig. Closer to the Bond in the books. People forget how much losing Vesper and Tracy affected him in the books.

Goldeneye...
House rules, no Oddjob, no Moonraker elite.
I grew up on Dalton, but Bronson was a great Bond. I think had he done Casino Royale it would have been even better. But I do like Craig, he just doesn't "look" like Bond to me.

I actually liked Tomorrow Never Dies and The World is Not Enough. Yeah...they weren't as good as Goldeneye but they each had their moments. Die Another Day was just a travesty of epic proportions that tried in vain to capitalize on the new wave of stylistic action films that had begun to flood the market after the success of The Matrix.

We used to rent N64s from blockbuster just for the controllers. Someone always ended up smashing at least one.

This is more to do with the writing than the acting.
I never liked the selection of Daniel Craig when they replaced Brosnan.

Connery is Bond to me....even though I'm not a fan of You Only Live Twice and Diamonds are Forever. I think Moore started out great but his later movies where he's 50+ are a little silly. Dalton was sort of ahead of his time as a darker, more gritty Bond. I know its not popular, but I really like The Living Daylights. Brosnan was great but was given some really bad scripts. I consider TWINE & DAD to be the Batman Forever and Batman & Robin of the Bond franchise. The common theme between Connery, Moore, and Brosnan is that by then end of their tenure as Bond, they kind of became caricatures of themselves.
