BuzzFeed reports that, as of press time, Prepon is only scheduled to appear in one episode to wrap up Alex's storyline, according to a source close to the Netflix show. Filming on Season 2 began in New York in late July and Prepon has yet to return to complete her character's story. This doesn't mean that Alex's end will come late in the season, as the show is not filming in order.

Based up on what I saw this season, I don't expect that to be too difficult.
Was good until about episode 5. Then whiny douche BF and whiny bitch felon started getting on my nerves.
Whoever that main character's name is pretty limited on her acting. She should be required to get naked at least once an episode just to keep folks entertained.
Still convinced this is a chick flick of a tv series.

What in the world is she thinking? She's been on failed show after failed show since That 70's Show ended. It seems like it's a much bigger loss for her than Orange. She and Jason Biggs can both leave the show without affecting it much.

Prepon returning would limit the directions the show could go in. Now season 2 doesn't have to have that storyline constantly hanging over their heads.
