Oceanside is in the comics
just later in the story and not involved with the negan narrative

And the whole premise of it is quite different.

I'll say this about the comics, and there aren't any spoilers here in what I will say, but where they are now in the show is about where the comics took a plunge off a cliff in terms of quality and writing.
Kirkman started a series in which he said there is no end in sight. As a result, he doesn't have a conclusion for TWD and the story shows that.
I'm not surprised people here are getting restless with the show. Around this time, I stopped buying the comic weekly and started reading it online.

Honestly, the comics have been really solid in the current saga.

Without going into any detail whatsoever, they have gotten better recently but still not worth $3.99 an issue for about 20 pages.
Kirkman's dialogue is terrible.

That episode would have been far better if Rachel had killed Tara in the first few minutes and then we watched over an hour of commercials.

Tune in next week for an entire episode to see what is up with Glenn and Abe.
An hour of staring at their graves remembering how far superior their characters were to Tara would be better than this episode

Yea I congratulated her on it yesterday. The neighborhood is proud of her no doubt! Good stuff!

So very bad.
Whose responsible for the drek lately? Is it Gimple, wouldn't surprise me. He seems like a little shite with his bs "oh next season is going to be the most intense blah blah blah". But Swear was the most god awful episode of the series.

Just wait a day or two and read it as a youtube video.

I've become a de facto critic but I liked this episode. That chick is IMO very credible as an actress. Something about her delivery made it more interesting than I would have thought.

I didn't like it but I also didn't hate it as much as everyone else did. Maybe because I didn't have to deal with the constant commercial breaks. But I wish they focus more on the main group rather than 1 or 2 characters.

I don't know, I was not excited about swinging fat girl titties. Looked like Meatloaf on a treadmill.

No explanation. Simply, I was watching and she seemed very likable and believable in her delivery and affect. Very genuine.
Perhaps I'm so sick of seeing or hearing Rick or Negan that it was a good break.

i didnt hate the episode and i thought alana masterson did a good job. sue me...
her character while minor in screen time has a very interesting backstory (remember she was part of the family that took in the governor while he was on the lam) and then she was thrust into the whole governor attacking the prison thing and was forced to choose sides
definitely more interesting than the minor ASZ characters

We've seen Rick for one episode since the premier. How can you be tired of him?
