Yea I remember that one too. It had Joey Lawrence's lil bro in it. I like that more than VR Troopers, but that's cause VR Troopers sucked balls. Voltron was better than all of them though.
And if anyone really thinks this new movie can't be better than the original, go back and watch the original again. It's pretty shitty. I still enjoy it for nostalgic purposes, but the acting is laughable and the plot is stupid. Pretty much par for the course I guess.

Nothing is official yet.
It was rumored last year that Chloe Grace Moretz and Liam Hemsworth were being courted to play Kimberly and Jason but that was last year. The same goes with Liam Neeson as Zordon. There were even rumors that Meryl Streep would play Rita and that Michael Fassbender or Tom Hardy would step into the role of Lord Zed.
I'll believe all the above when I see it.

They are going with relative unknowns. The guy rumored for Jason can't be more than 150 pounds and has blonde hair. No muscles either.

I can still remember the day my dad took me and my brother to see the first movie in theaters like it was yesterday. We got advanced screening tickets through some McDonalds promotion and we had to leave my tee-ball game early to make it on time. That final battle blew my mind when I was 7.
