Says who? Don't recall that being explicitly stated.

He also held an Infinity Stone much longer than a human should have been able to- according to the Kree. And this was way before he even met his dad. I'm sure the DNA plays into it.

Ego said that very thing to Peter before Rocket's bomb went off. Plus, you see the blue power energy fade from his hands as soon as Ego's avatar implodes.

Don't forget, Quill is 1/2 planet god. That's gotta make him hard to kill.
Yeah true that. I thought he lost those powers when he killed Wyatt Earp?

Ego literally says if you kill me you'll be just like anyone else and Peter replies "what's so wrong with that?"

I'm honestly surprised it hasn't been mentioned on this board at all that the villains in the last two MCU movies (including one who is supposed to be the big bad of this era) are insane, irredeemable assholes, both played by black men.
Just like with Nick Fury, nobody cares that these characters are black bc to the casual fan, these are new characters and not shoehorned race swaps.

Which was a mistake for the writers to do. Now it’s harder to explain how things like space exposure didn’t kill him even after freezing and bulging out his face like that.

True, but he's still half god. Just because he lost his powers doesn't mean there aren't any lingering effects of that lineage.

It's also possible for Ego to have been lying to him because he didn't want to die.

Just so we're clear - you're down with a thousand alien species living on countless planets across the galaxy, hyperspace warp travel, cybernetic raccoons, etc, but space exposure is a bridge too far to suspend belief?

Yeah you’re not wrong. The whole movie is basically an adult cartoon
Rocket took tremendous physical punishment too and I’m not sure he got a physical upgrade when he was made.

Speak for yourself, I love it when a movie depresses me

That's what films that bill themselves as Oscar buzzworthy are all about.

(Kill her off a different way) For Thor LAT imo it didn't add to the plot for her to have cancer. I would rather see a character die out of heroism in a comic book movie. Just my opinion.
Like animal cruelty

quote:Maybe. GOG3 was not depressing to me. In the end, the heroes saved the day. I don't care about oscar hype, just give me a good story in your movie.

At the end of the movie, there's a moment when all the Guardians stand around in a circle and share their goodbyes. Rather than say, "I am Groot," which are the only words Groot (Vin Diesel) can speak, he tells the Guardians, "I love you guys."
A Gizmodo article gives its own take on the moment, explaining that this is not Groot speaking normal words onscreen for the first time, but instead the audience finally understanding what Groot is actually saying. Gunn responded to the article on Twitter, tweeting, "Spoiler... Yes that's exactly what it means."

I thought Poulter was fun as Adam Warlock though hopefully he “ages up” for future appearances.
Yeah I'm ok with Warlock in this movie, as long as they develop and advance his character properly throughout upcoming Marvel shows/movies.
