I may catch episode 7 tomorrow if a get a few min in my day.

hopefully the next three leads to more discussion. But I fear all this john scott stuff will dominate the next few episodes and once that is done it doesn't matter.

You mean Bellie? yep.

I think I'm on ep 9 or so now. We are only discussing 4-6 at this point, right (or does that change today?)??

I assumed we were up to 7-9 starting today.

Why would Broyles go radio silent with the swat team? Were text messages not common back then? I think my biggest "problem" with the show is the brain science and here they go again. I guess on the one hand it lets Walter look like the genius mad scientist he is, but on the other hand, they could very easily end up in the same place without making Walter magical. Yes I believe Walter can open portals to parallel universes but cannot transfer the thoughts of a "mostly dead" person to Peter

Yeah I'm noticing little hints and clues like that as well, and it's pretty cool.

Yeah, some of it definitely seems like it's stretching reality, to say the least...but that was kinda the point, right?

I forgot how cool these first episodes (seasons?) were, like with the whole setup of the episode being flipped when the victim ends up being bad (the Little Hill thing)...like they're using Walter to do their bidding almost.

The sightings of Walter and the kid's mom in the second episode this week...is this the first alternate universe clues, or clone things? I was having trouble explaining that shite, and they didn't seem to address it really.

Also, I don't remember these episodes being so open-ended at times (like not having much closure at all in one or two of them).

Enjoying the hell out of this ride so far though.

other than our typical 6 (7 with charlie) we finally get a character that extends past a few episodes and in John Scott's case that actually develop through out the entire show. It was exciting to meet david robert jones, I know we got to know very little about David Robert Jones in this 3 sets of episodes but it we got the start of his very important interaction in the show.

About episode 8 was that entire episode just set up the go through wall a few episodes maybe a couple seasons down the line. (edit: that is episode 10 )

About episode 9 and maybe this is where we can get some more discussion but all this stuff with John Scott after going back is one of the only disappointing part of season 1 so far of my rewatch (well there are two many things they got going and never pitched back up) is all of this John Scott stuff it feels like wasted energy by the show. When you see the end of this series you look back and John Scott means nothing, just gives something for Olivia to go through in season 1.

So far Season 1 has been a law and order type show where they have something to solve every episode and there is a slight building plot from episode to episode. I do enjoy it but it doesn't really add that much to discussion so far.

David Robert Jones is a fantastic villain. I wasn't a fan of the John Scott thing, but DRJ is the fricking man.

I watched next weeks 3 episodes last night and DRJ is bigger in those.

I was also excited to see Olivia's sister come. I totally forgot about her and I am happy she's here finally!

another thing I would have loved to see which the series didn't play on that much was having Walter going back to St. Clare's. That was a powerful moment of these series of episodes, they could have used it more in future episodes.

was there ever really a reason for her sister coming in? she disappears after a few episodes and we never see her again.

I assume it was meant to humanize her. Olivia is a bit of a robot emotionally speaking.
