FEAR... If he read it he would have dreams like I had last night after starting to read it again.. I was using a mallet to smash a corpse filled with ground beef.

I had a dream a few weeks back that James Earl Jones, Hulk Hogan (Hulkamania era Hulk), and myself had to go to Derry to help the Losers Club fight Pennywise. Hulk was worthless; he tried to dig a hole to trap It, hit a sewer line, and would have drowned in sewage if JEJ and I had not pulled him out.

Edit: I think I'm going to do a re-read. I just finished reading "Bazaar of Bad Dreams", a collection of King's short stories and it's been a few years since my last read through.

What? That's what this thing is? When I say get over it, I didn't mean I watched the movie. It was over posters and advertisements.

Yes, he is not bound by time as we are. He comes from before the big-bang, which we all seem to believe is where time first began. My take is that he is a form of God. He exists outside of time. Time past, present, and future mean nothing as it is a created linear path. To live outside time means time doesn't exist at all.

That is what I got out of reading it at least. It explains why everything seem so silly and illogical. Logic, reason, time, all that has no purpose or meaning to this entity. He is not bound by the same principles. He can make things whatever he wishes or you wish him to be.

He's the opposite of the Great Turtle.

The Other created all of existence. The Turtle and It came into being out of that existence. The Turtle created our universe and serves as the "creator," while It is his eternal nemisis is the "consumer.

Also, I'd say that there is somewhat of a time angle as

Spoiler

It tells adult Denbrough that the Turtle had died.

Book is the trippiest shite I've ever read, and that is without LSD.

One of the best books ever written. Derry, the town, is a character.
