I pretty much agree with what everyone has said. I loved the movie. Joker made it what it was. Ledger did an amazing job.

As far as the voice thing with Batman, the only explanation I can come up with is that Bruce Wayne has to disguise his voice as much as possible and might as well try to be terrifying.

MAJOR SPOILERS

I liked the whole story and was ok with some of the technology used except for the cell phone tracking. I don't really think it added much to the movie, and Nolan could have pretty much had the same story without it. (MAJOR ONE HERE) I'm glad Harvey Dent died at the end. I don't know how much more they could have gotten out of his character in the third movie. Can anybody explain how they got like 50 swat team guys to the skyscraper the Joker was in at the end of the movie. Lucius told Batman where he was and it seemed like 5 minutes later all of the Gotham City SWAT was there.

I agree with you...but if you are really worried about spoilers, is a movie discussion thread really where you want to be?

It's been fine up until now. Everyone that has posted anything to do with spoilers has given a warning. I should have known it was just a matter of time before someone fricked that up. All it takes is just a warning. Not just coming out and posting what was going on in the movie. Everytime I've seen the word spoiler, I can just scroll down past it without looking at it.

SPOILER

quote:

should have said major spoiler, I definitely didn't want to read that Dent died.

Oh now that is getting fricking overboard. Now not only must we label every plot point in a Spoiler labelled thread, we need to have catagories of spoiler warnings?

People, if you are worried about spoilers, get out of the damn movie discussion thread.

And you do realize you just stuck another spoiler with no warning...

This is why people like to go to midnight showings...it is pretty much impossible to have it spoiled. Every shred of info and criticism you read on here will alter your experience, often times in a negative way.

not if I don't read anything that says SPOILER.

I only read this last paragraph of yours. Couldn't tell you what the top part says.

the movie was great and i had been looking forward to it for a long time but getting called 25 times by my 19 year old girlfriends family was ridiculous. I don't see why they just can't leave us alone when we go see a movie

Everything outside of quotes is fine...in any case, it was already said with no warning so it was probably already "spoiled" for you.

My point still stands....I've learned that no matter how careful you are, if you put yourself in the middle of any discussion on the subject, things will always get ruined.

And I am not talking about specific plot events either....just hearing people talk about it in generic senses means you know more than what the director "intends" for you to know at a certain point.

For big releases like this, I either get in line to watch it first, or I physically unplug my internet connection until I can. Movies of this scale and quality aren't common, and it is something you really can only truely experience once.

Why take the risk?

You know, I was basically just asking you to edit your post.

You have a HUGE plot point just sitting there naked.

I guess just because you decided a mere SPOILER warning wasn't enough and had a considerable part of the movie's finale ruined for you, who gives a shite about anyone else, right?

Well if you won't do it....

Promenint, can you edit your post here:

to say not to read the post immediately below that one?
