but i had really high expectations for this movie
I kind of did too, but I didn't read all the rave reviews because I didn't want to get too excited about it. I need to mull it over some more....

i definitely need to see it again, preferably when the movie theater isn't packed with nerds and i haven't been up 20 hours or so.
what cracks me up is the first 1/3 had plenty of the goofy and campy-type situations that the "negative" critics say don't exist
after that it finds itself pretty strongly tho

I thought it was very entertaining. Ledger played a very good joker.

that movie was amazing. I like how Nolan took bits and pieces from Xthe killing joke" and "the long halloween". i'd definitely go see it again.

Very very good. A lot of layers, especially for an action movie. Ledger was great, and if he doesn't get serious consideration for an Oscar, something is very wrong with the system. He was the Joker, every insane and dark bit of him.

Incredible movie. The fastest two and a half hours I've ever spent in a movie...I didn't want it to end. I'll definitely take the fiancee, so I have a reason to see it again.
First third was a little slow, but the bank heist in the beginning was great. Last two thirds seemed nonstop.
If I didn't know that was Heath Ledger, I never would have been able to recognize him...he disappeared into the character. Awesome performance. He won't win the Oscar, but he deserves a nod.
It actually met expectations for me.

I enjoyed it thoroughly. Still trying to piece everything together, but I found it very entertaining.

Still trying to piece everything together,
i'll say this
it was a movie with a lot of plot lines in it
i can see where a critic would say there was a lot, but nolan handled it well. and, well, it was 2.5 hours for a reason
there wasn't anything extra that was unecessary, and the extras didn't take away from the movie at all
the only problem is it's going to be hard to make a 3rd one. this movie covered so much there is little else to do

Best movie of the decade. I personally don't care about the Oscar talk. I will say that if Bardem won for No Country Ledger should take it hands down. The best way to describe what he did was like a human manifestion of Jaws. He plays it so far beyond typical bad guy that as unbelievable as half the shite should be, it isn't. One Man Taliban. Just amazing.

Great movie. Time will tell it's place in the year/decade/history however. I don't think one can make such labels after one viewing. But damn that was pretty intense.

Has there ever been a better villain in a movie?

Jack Parkman- Major League II

now THAT is a legitimate question
i think the joker may be too 1-dimensional, but i'm going to think about this tomorrow
there is something scarier about a sane person who enjoys the killing more...or the killing itself (and not just general mayhem). but i don't know if any of those characters were as intense as the joker was in this movie

that was a really fricking good movie. heath ledger took the joker to a whole new level, ridiculous. my only complaint with these movies, and it's pretty minor, is the level of suspension of disbelief that's required to believe some of what they have batman doing. how is bruce wayne with nothing but those grappling hooks and pulley regularly standing on the top of skyscrapers like it's nothing?

Just got back because I had to sit in traffic leaving the mall rave. Awesome flick. I'll definitely be seeing it again.
