The guy who plays Warmolt used to be K Strass the Yoyo guy. LINK

Yes.

I think people just want this to be so much like BB that they dont appreciate how good the show is. Just because the show isnt dominated by making and selling drugs and occasionally killing people, doesnt mean its slow.

It goes the other way, too. Better Call Saul has certainly gotten the benefit of the doubt because it was made by the guys who made Breaking Bad.

I loved BB but through the first 12 episodes I like BCS more.

I know there is slim to no chance it makes the incredible progression BB made from midway through season 2 forward.

that scene with the cops was awesome.

It was perfect. Capped off by him telling Playuh he had to make a video.

So we are to believe he made Playuh make that video, complete with crying. Kim is worried about the fabrication of evidence side of it. But I'm wondering why even do it at all? The "Art collector" doesn't even exist and I'm sure the cops will see that as a dead end and not pursue the case anymore. So we are to believe Jimmy made a gross squat cobbler video just in case?

Great episode btw, anything with Mike and Nacho is money.

"Hoboken Squat Cobbler" was the funniest scene on tv that I have seen in a good while. I rarely laugh out loud at a tv show. This one had me going pretty good.

I laughed out loud at all the different names he said for it.

Hoboken Squat Cobbler, full moon moon pie, Boston creme splat, or Simple Simon the arse man

oh and Nacho about the H2:

"You think I'd be caught dead driving that thing? It looks like a school bus for 6 year old pimps."

I thought the camera angles when Jimmy was getting into his new ride were great, both the cupholder cam and the sunroof cam. You could tell from the sunroof shot that as soon as he opened the sunroof cover he grimaced, undoubtedly reminded about his own Chicago sunroof episode in the past.

It was Odenkirk's own idea to name it.... LINK
quote:

In the original version of Gennifer Hutchison's script, as Saul co-creator Peter Gould recalls, "There weren't as many names. In fact, I don't know that we named it at all. I think (Jimmy) just said, 'He sits in pies.'"

Saul isn't a show that allows for much improvisation, but on the first day of shooting the second season premiere, Odenkirk pulled Gould and Vince Gilligan aside and, as Gould recalls, praised the episode 2 script, and then, "He pitched the idea: 'Sex acts all have a name. Shouldn't there be a name for this thing?'"

From there, the Saul writers went to town dreaming up alternate names for the Cobbler — "Full Moon Pie," "Boston Cream Splatt," "Simple Simon the arse Man," etc. — which Odenkirk had a field day delivering.

"On this show, he mostly is a performer," Gould said of his leading man, "but every once in a while, you see that he really is one of the great comic minds of our time. That was an example of Bob giving us a direction that we ran with, and then he ran with it in performance. And I just love it. I have to say, that was an interesting evolution of that scene. I'm really proud of it."

See reading that makes sense. It was almost like a Mr. Show skit snuck into BCS.

Initially I thought the same thing. Saul's client was under no obligation to share the video with the cops and they couldn't force him to provide the video. But then again, the purpose of Saul being there was to put an end to all further investigation into his client's burglary and the video, once mentioned, served that purpose well.

I agree with this. But they didn't have to see the video. Just the existence of it and alluding to it would be enough. You even see Kim laughing at this.

It's almost like Jimmy turned into Saul the moment he made Dan make that video. It comes across like he just wanted to punk out the guy and watch him humiliate himself. And Kim picked up on it too. Once she realized he made the video is when she immediately changed her demeanor about it. She blames it on the fabrication of evidence but you can see she thinks Jimmy was a bit dark carrying it out.

Someone please clear this up for me. Nacho is Jimmy's client from season 1. Now Playah is Jimmy's client in which Nacho is the perpetrater. Does Jimmy know this yet? I don't recall.

I don't know if Jimmy knows it but protecting Playuh protects Nacho.

Stops the investigation.

I can see this as a reason him and Kim don't work out. Plus from the preview of next week, he's doing stupid shite like making independent commercials.
