re: Just getting to Kansas City, needing recs - Chili Davis on 6/21/16 at 2:45 pm
Oklahoma Joe's is my favorite BBQ up there. Grinder's and their deli next door are pretty good. Grinder's is a pizza or bar food type place and Grinder's West is a pretty decent deli. I have to make my rounds while I'm up there for work....

re: What was the most "hell on earth" like place you've been to? - Chili Davis on 5/28/16 at 3:03 pm
Port Au Prince, Haiti or Oceanview, Hawaii. Oceanview is a lava field on the big island. No utility hookups on any of the structures. One dumpster with one monthly pickup. Complete nightmare....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Nero - NOT GUILTY (Baltimore to burn at 11:00) - Chili Davis on 5/23/16 at 5:18 pm
What time do the looting and burning festivities begin this evening?
It's raining here now. I don't think anything is going to happen today. I hope that it stays quiet this week. I'm in town for a conference. Just hold off until Friday afternoon please....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Dave Matthews Band set list...? - Chili Davis on 5/12/16 at 11:19 am
I went to the show last night. Pretty solid show. Not my favorite. But we had fun. They played a couple of new songs, sexy MFer, and Shotgun. I guess Shotgun hadn't been played in a while on tour. Would have liked it a little more if they'd substituted Two Step or Proudest Monkey for a couple of...

re: Wichita St looking at bringing football back and joining Mtn. West - Chili Davis on 5/4/16 at 8:38 am
Going to Cessna Stadium this evening to run bleachers. It is a dump. The playing surface is garbage and the locker rooms are even worse. Parking is terrible on campus. There is just a lot of issues with it. Bardo is most certainly trying to capitalize on the success of the basketball program. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Can someone own 2 Professional sports franchise's in the same sport? - Chili Davis on 4/29/16 at 11:59 am
Obviously minor league hockey here. But the Central Hockey League has three teams owned by the same guy. The other owners allowed this to save the league until new owners can be found. They aren't allowed to make trades or pick up any released players from those franchises without the entire leagu...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Active Shooter at Lackland AFB - Chili Davis on 4/8/16 at 10:13 am
I read that it was at the Medina Annex. Not where the BMT trainees are housed. The Medina Annex is where we did all of our BMT weapons training though. I believe that is where the armory is as well. Dang, it's a crazy world out there....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Who was your first favorite football player? - Chili Davis on 4/1/16 at 3:11 pm
Cornelius Bennett and oddly enough Bo Jackson. I've been a Bama fan my entire life. But I can't deny the greatness of Bo. Plus, I liked winning at Tecmo Bowl....
What if Nacho wants up and comer and drug competitor Gus Fring dead? And when Mike goes to do that, Gus counters with an even better and more stable offer?
This is what I'm thinking. Except I think that Tuco has delegated the duty of making Gus "go away" to Nacho. Isn't there w...

re: Anyone here spent any time in Kuwait? - Chili Davis on 3/1/16 at 2:35 pm
I spent 6 months at Camp Arifjan and Kuwait Naval Base. The humidity was pretty bad. It was definitely hot, but the humidity was terrible. Kuwait City is pretty nice, and fairly westernized. Be careful on the roads. Wildest group of drivers I've ever been around. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)

"Hoboken Squat Cobbler" was the funniest scene on tv that I have seen in a good while. I rarely laugh out loud at a tv show. This one had me going pretty good....

re: Chris Bosh dealing with blood clots again - Chili Davis on 2/16/16 at 10:59 am
I wonder if he could play ball with an IVC filter.
Shouldn't be a problem according to my doc. I asked about running, basketball, and old fat guy softball with my filter. No problems with activities. Obviously I'm not on Bosh's level athletically. However, There are a fair amou...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Chris Bosh dealing with blood clots again - Chili Davis on 2/16/16 at 12:58 am
I am currently recovering from a saddle PE. I threw a clot in my quad. Some of it ended up in my left lung. Wildest week of my life. I hadn't spent the night in a hospital until 3 weeks ago. I passed out in the docs office, and I ended up spending the night in ICU. They installed a greenfield filter...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: John Moreland/Sons of Anarchy - Chili Davis on 2/4/16 at 2:57 pm
I saw John open up for Jason Isbell last year in Wichita. I really enjoyed it, my wife not so much. She was on the fence until he turned to leave the stage and apparently, half his arse crack fell out. She told me that she thought the music was too depressing. She thought the same thing about Isbell...

re: FINAL IOWA poll (most accurate one): Trump +5, Hillary +3 - Chili Davis on 1/30/16 at 7:06 pm
Maybe not the best place to put this. But I'll be interested to see how the weather will affect the turnout for the Iowa caucuses. There looks to be a fairly significant snow event on tap for Monday. It looks like the more significant accumulations may be in NW KS & E. CO. It is still a little ear...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)

Sid Bream gets a hit in the top of the 8th inning in game 7 of the 1991 WS. Either that or Lonnie Smith learns how to run the bases and scores from first on Terry Pendleton's double in the same inning. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Would appreciate input on this my Bama friends - Chili Davis on 1/22/16 at 9:17 am
With no prior knowledge of either one of these teams, I would probably go with Aledo. I'm a defensive guy. Aledo shutting down state finalist Highland Park says a lot to me. Any prominent (D1) players from either of these teams that could be an "x" factor in this hypothetical matchup?...
