Finally they're redoing the prequels correctly exploring his relationship with QuiGon, the council and Anakin?

Hopefully they get Vader back into the mix. He was such a cock tease in Rogue.

And I would settle for more Darth Maul.

I could see a series of adventures on tattooine with Obiwan acting has Luke's guardian angel protecting him from Empire and dark side threats.

Ugh. Another beloved character for Disney to destroy.

Unfortunately, I agree. Do something unique that doesn't remotely involve the other characters. Han Solo is so far looking to be total fricking mess, so why not go with Knights of the Old Republic? What about a story as small as some Force conscious person moving to Coruscant and becoming some sort of detective? Maybe the Mandalorian Wars? I mean, Jesus Christ, give me something besides "Which spinoff character or event are we going to do that was established earlier?"

It's ridiculous they refuse to go with something not very directly tied with things we've seen. They're being a bunch of pussies so far refusing to embrace the new. I understand with the Force Awakens why they didn't do it in order to restore the fans faith in the original Star Wars, but you have no excuse going forward. At least go with Knights of the Old Republic which is there for you on a silver platter.

Except the Empire nor the dark side had any idea Luke existed. Ben was a hermit on Tattooine who occasionally checked up on Luke.

Just because they don't know Luke exists doesn't mean the threat of them discovering him isn't real. Obiwan didn't spend 20 years secretly watching over Luke for his own health.

When we're talking about mystical forces like the dark side any number of threats can be attracted to a power, if unknown, source of the light side.

Hell, it doesn't even need to be either, since Tattooine is one of the most dangerous planets in the SW universe.

Any half-way decent writer should be able to tell an adventure story Obiwan might have had in those 20 years.

WHY?

We don't fricking need a Han Solo or an Obi-Wan origin story. Do something different!

Star Wars is this massive universe but all the films have to take place in the same timeframe for some reason.
