New story is a mix of lab experiment and reincarnation. Splinter is the Japanese guy who was murdered and the turtles represent his four sons who were also killed.

I can't find any with Fichner in costume, but I like how they filmed the movie. They should have really good motion capture.

Agreed. They're goofy Teenaged mutated turtles that live in a sewer with a giant rat ninja master and eat pizza.
It's comical and fun and enjoyable.
It's not a serious Michael Bay pseudo drama full of obnoxious explosions and cgi

Why do we have to turn every superhero comic movie into a dark serious drama. frick that. It worked for Batman because that's how his comic and tone always has been.
But to do it to everyone like superman and TMNT should be criminal.

it would appear each of those would get a check in the movie. they apear to be teenage, they are mutant created, they are ninja's, and they are turtles...
leaving out the mutant rat ninja, may be the breaking point for some people
