it's getting a final season

It's a good series, they shouldn't drag it out. Get it done in a good final season.

I wonder how they will end it, I'm guessing we will see the Rayburns living the good life on the beach with buried secrets.

Eta. if you haven't seen it, it took me 2-3 episodes to get into it. It comes off at the start like some boring beach drama, but it turns out the characters and story are really well done.

first season was excellent, but without spoiling it for someone reading this having not seen it, the second season was missing a large piece. i struggled to even finish the second season, and i doubt i would have watched a third.

edit: just saw they are getting a final season (terribly misleading thread title btw). i'm ok with that, and happy for those in charge they have the opportunity to close it out how they'd like.

also, it says a lot that 2 of 3 shows ever cancelled by Netflix were actually really, really, good shows.

(to hell with Hemlock Grove)

1 out of 3. Lillyhammer sucked too.

Cancelled is cancelled. Not my fault people don't read the link I graciously provided

To be fair, the article is just as misleading. However, the usual meaning of canceled is, (a) during a season, that's it, no more episodes after the end of the season, and (b) between seasons, that's it, no more episodes will be made. It is not, "There will be a final season, and that's it."

For a proper headline, read the article your article cited as its source, which I had to do to resolve my confusion.

I was actually fricking with him. You're the last person who should tell anyone about what they're wrong about with your fantasy advice

I really enjoyed the first season but I couldn't make it to episode 2 of the second. I hate awkward situations on TV and that whole scene with Meg at dinner with the clients in NYC was the last straw.

Huge fan of the first season but could never get into the 2nd and stopped half way through. Either because I couldn't get behind Danny's son or got sick of Kevin always doing something retarded

Three seasons is probably a good length for the show, honestly.

Not every show should go 7+ seasons.

Season 2 was just as good, if not better, than season 1. I don't know how anyone couldn't enjoy the suspense of season 2.

Agree. Nothing wrong with that. The length constraint may even work in the writers' favor.

That's pretty much every Showtime series ever... Weeds, Dexter, Californication, Ray Donovan (renewed for S5 BTW, and after S4, well on its way), etc.
