I really enjoyed The Bridge. Just found out that it got cancelled, which is a shame, but it's often a blessing for a good show to get cancelled, as they aren't allowed to get stale.

If you haven't watched the Wire, drop everything NOW and do so.

My entire perspective on life shifted after I watched the Wire.

I'm not exaggerating.

It's one fairly pedestrian episode into the series.

You just finished the Shield, congratulations, it's all downhill after that series.

My dick grew three inches after I finished off the last episode. It was fricking amazing.

Seriously though, watch The Wire, it is the greatest TV show ever made.

I'd check out Peeky Blinders, Marco Polo, Americans, and Bloodline not necessarily in that order.

This, other shows are better art- Breaking Bad is like a Greek Tragedy shot in beautiful technicolor-- but in terms of pure greatness, the Wire might be the best thing TV or Film ever captured by motion picture cameras-- its nearly perfect (barring the stupid subplot in the last season) and at its peak shows more about humanity than any series I can think of-- also great, great quotes (up there with Breaking Bad):

"Omar Coming"

"My name is my name"

The guy you instantly assume is the series central character (smart white detective who plays by his own rules) is sidelined and moved around, the two most mgnetic characters are a in command trying to leave crime behind and a gay dude who is essentially an urban legend.
