Found a problem only a few minutes in. Going across the bridge they're in a Jeep YJ. The YJ didn't come out until 1987. In 79 it was the CJ.

The show has jumped back and forth in between that time frame, but yeah, you might be right. Can't believe they missed that.

I'm on ep 7, it's badass. There are subtitles when I watch, just wish I knew Spanish so I could surf the net while watching....have to read

Wish Johnny depp had a cameo for his George Jung role.

I really liked it from the start. Loved the fact that this was a true story, that tends to get me more invested. I also loved the narrating, I like that format for some reason. I am on episode 5 and still think it is great. The fact that so much of this is in Spanish means I have to pay attention to read the subtitles so I don't find myself looking at my phone like I tend to do during other shows even if I like them.

I do wonder how much potential this has to continue, though. Not sure where season 1 ends but at some point they will run out of material or they will have to go off in a totally new direction and go fictional which will probably not work as well.

I enjoyed it, out of 10 I'd give it an 8.

I just finished it. Spoiler? There just has to be a S2.

Pretty solid show, though I did get a little bored in some places (of course I did binge watch it). Mostly with Steve's wife. Her acting was bad and annoying. Also didn't like the American Ambassador or the military guy that works in the Embassy.

Think Wagner Moura nailed Pablo. His acting is great (although I've read his accent is way off, but I don't speak Spanish so I can't tell...and he apparently learned Spanish is 6 months for this role).

If you guys haven't seen Elite Squad I & II, you should definitely check 'em out. Same director with Wagner as lead. Badass movies.

Three episodes in and enjoying it so far. I wasn't sure how I'd like the narration style after the first episode but I think it works well. It really is a fascinating story so I am looking forward to the rest of the show. Once I finish I'm gonna have to read up on the historical side of the story.

I watched 3 episodes so far, and I'm digging it. At first I thought I'd have a hard time separating Pedro from his Oberyn role, but nope. He's a great actor and I'm looking forward to seeing any other movie or TV show that he's on.

SPOILER:..........

I really wish Barry Seal would have gotten more shine. They could have dedicated a whole episode and then some to just him. But I'm half way through 9 now and I'm a fan. Made for a decent wknd that would have otherwise been boring and grueling waiting on real football to start.

They may go the way of true detective & American horror story? New cast and location of a legit story, but same title.
