The movie is pretty great if not infuriating.

oh yeah, but the infuriating aspects of it kind of work with the ending(s)

K-PAX (2001)

Prot (Kevin Spacey) is a patient at a mental hospital who claims to be from a far away Planet. His psychiatrist (Jeff Bridges) tries to help him, only to begin to doubt his own explanations.

And when it's over ask yourself and anyone else who has seen it: "Do you think he was from another planet?"

It's that good.

This is an outstanding movie I highly, highly recommend.

Oh, and I've already gotten 3 movies on this list so far and have found that I pretty sure I'm going to like many more of these I've yet to see.

The Chumscrubber

darkly satiric story about life crumbling in the midst of a seemingly idyllic suburbia.

saw this in college and thought it was very good. makes fun of suburbia and bad parents.

The Motorcycle Diaries

foreign and great, true story based on Che Guevera's coming of age. not sure if it is really underrated.

The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou

Bill Murray is hilarious. I am biased though because just looking at him makes me laugh. I own a Zissou tshirt.

Tapeheads

This one is very funny and still entertaining to this day, even if it was released in 1988.

A couple of creative losers accidently become big shots in the video music industry.
Starring John Cusack & Tim Robbins.

Some great music, too. Funny as hell music videos they make and the great concert, ect., at the end.

It should be noted that about 85% of the movies listed weren't under the radar and star A list actors.

Depends on what the definition of what "under the radar" means and "A list actors" for that matter

And even if it has "A list actors" just about every movie has one or more, but that doesn't mean people watched it, or it got bamboozled by critics, but was in fact very good.

The thread has given me more than 20 really interesting movies I have not seen yet and I agree with many that were listed of which I have seen. I've viewed a lot of movies, probably not as many as a lot of people, but nonetheless quite a few.

So that was the real purpose of the thread, which of course this wasn't the first of its kind. It was put on here to give us all some great movies to watch that aren't always talked about.

For me, and several others who have stated as much, now we have some good quality movies to view. In my case, some movies to watch to take me into the college football season.
