Frailty. Great movie about a man gone crazy with murder because he feels like God is telling him to do it. It's got Matthew Mcchauughhanhhashney and Bill Paxton in it.

One of the best unknowns I have seen. Great flick.

Suicide Kings. Great semi-dark comedy(ish) movie about a group of friends that kidnap a mob boss to try to come up with ransom for one of them's kidnapped sister. Has Chris Walken, Denis Leary, Jay Mohr, Henry Thomas (Elliott from E.T.) in it. Very good movie.

Leary and Walken are great in this. The running gag about the boots is gold.

They have two characters Andy and Randy in the movie that just hit on girls the whole time and its hilarious what they say

Those guys and Seth Green stole the show. Loved this movie.

Also If it has not been mentioned "Waiting" with Ryan Reynolds is an older comedy that I found hilarious.

Even though it has Vin Diesel in it "Pitch Black" is an entertaining Sci Fi thriller.

The Brothers Bloom is one I liked that I know nobody else but my best friend has seen it.

It's a older movie and a lot of younger people might not have seen it but "Dave" with Kevin Kline is a cute little movie.

The Brothers McMullen is an interesting movie about 3 Irish brothers that choose different life paths.

If you like weird then "Perfume, story of a murder" with Dustin Hoffman is for you.

Also, Running Scared. Paul Walker is in it and really the only movie he is in that is worth watching. One of the most intense movies I've ever seen. Nuts.

Agree with all of that. Easily Walker's best movie...you can actually watch him in it and not want to punch him in the face the whole time. And the plot is nucking futs.

Last Castle

Great movie.

For those interested, it's James Gandolfini, Robert Redford, and Mark Ruffalo. Redford is in a military prison where Gandolfini is the warden/commanding officer, and the movie is a struggle between he and Redford based on Gandilfini basically being an a-hole.

Also, Them (2006) is a very good movie. It's basically a French version of The Strangers (2008). It's pretty creepy, and there's not much dialogue so subtitles are few and far between.

Sorry for the multiple posts, but I keep thinking of some.

House of 9 - Solid low-budget thriller about 9 people trapped in a house, which is rigged with cameras and is apparently a reality show where the winner (the last one to survive) geets $5 million. Shenanigans ensue. Kelly Brook is in it, as is Dennis Hopper.

Cube - Really good movie about 6 strangers waking up in a cubed (14x14x14) room(s). Every room has a door on every wall, the floor, and the ceiling. Some rooms are booby trapped and some are safe, and the people have to figure out what the hell they are in, and how to get out of it. It's a very cool concept for the plot, and is executed pretty well. It's apparently based on the TZ episode "Five Characters in Search of an Exit." (which is an awesome TZ episode btw...you can watch it here.)

Triangle - This one is hard to explain without ruining it, and certainly don't watch the trailer for it, because it basically spoils the entire plot of the movie. It's about a group of friends who capsize on a boat and are rescued when an empty cruise ship passes them. They explore the ship and weird shite starts happening, and the main chick in the movie has to figure out what is happening to them and how to fix it. That's about as good of a description I can give, but give it a watch...it's a cool movie.

watched Breaking Upwards last night

nice little indie movie. I just saw that it was made on a budget of 15k.

If you're into the genre, I highly recommend it

Thought of another:

Exam: Eight talented candidates have reached the final stage of selection to join the ranks of a mysterious and powerful corporation. Entering a windowless room, an Invigilator gives them eighty minutes to answer one simple question.

Mayhem ensues.

Its kinda wierd, but I thought it was a good movie. Paul Giamatti plays the lead.

In Hell- an actually decent Van Damme flick that never hit theaters despite being better than 99% of everything he ever did that was released to theaters

I have bookmarked this thread to get the films that posters have suggested and I haven't seen yet.

That being said, some posters are posting some rather new films and films that weren't under the radar as either they are talked about on here and heralded strongly or a good bit of people know aboit the film already.

I do not thimk that foreign films are the obvious answer to thiz list because they have audiences, just not here.

So ones I think you guys missed are

I Heart Huckabees
Splendor in the Grass
Save the Green Planet
Southland Tales

Cell 211. Good foreign prison flick. Never spoken to anybody else who has seen it and never gotten a response on this board

I watched half of this last night...maybe it was too late and I was tired but I started fast-forwarding through it once it became surreal. I love all the actors in it and the set-up seemed interesting.

But it didn't grab a hold of me at all.

Roger Ebert called it the best film of the decade. He says you need to see it twice. I suppose I should try again.

Wow, I have a tremendous list of movies to watch now. I've been looking them up and seeing the ones I'd be interested in and man this is great.

I thought of another one under the radar, at least in my opinion.

"Cabin Boy" with Chris Elliott from 1994, I laughed so many times, but I understand it may not be everyone's sense of humor.

But the cameo by David Letterman near the beginning is worth the rental in and of itself. IMDb only gives it a 4.6, so this may be the lowest rated movie I've really liked, but I laughed and laughed a lot. The graphics are sort of cheesy but cool, too. I have it on DVD now and watch it about once a year.

My father had a tremendous VHS collection when I was young and he would go and get just about everything, including the really horribly rated movies he thought might have a chance just to prove them wrong - at least in his mind - and then try and pawn them off on me.

I guess this is one of those type of movies.
