For me it was 'signs'. I recall almost walking out the theater the first time I saw it and liking it a lot the 2nd time around. Don't get me wrong, the movie had it's obvious flaws but I liked it.

Maybe it was the expectation of a 6th sense type of masterpiece that made me hate it the first time around.

Anchorman.

Blade Runner. I was in HS and did not get it all the first time.

Brazil.

Fight Club for me

I walked in blind, and was expecting an action film, thought it was good, but wasn't until I caught all the nuances the second time around did I fully enjoy the movie to recommend it.

I didn't like it upon the first viewing, now I love the thing.

Royal Tennebaums - so much stuff you miss upon first viewing that it takes a lot more than one just to catch it all. Same with Life Aquatic.

I would be failing to abide if I didn't say, "The Big Lebowski."

Read my mind.

In fact, this movie got funnier and funnier the first 5 times I watched it. Now it has reached my pantheon of comedies.

Anchorman too. But I liked that one right away.
