Having recently binged and caught up in anticipation of the season finale, I thank the board for recommending Mr Robot, by far the most captivating, moving, darkly-humorous, thought-provoking show I have seen recently. The themes are truly fascinating & maddeningly executed. Kudos to all involved.

I do believe this show would be better if you binge watched it. But I'm sure Esmail loves the theories that have come out. Each episode leaves you with you imagination.

I'm curious why the board shite all over the last few episodes. You have multiple people in here saying they are bailing on this show entirely.
I just watched the part 1 of the finale and I thought it was great. The Whiterose/Angela meeting was awesome. I don't get all the hate. To me this season is just as good as the first season, which is hard to do considering the first season was built up around the Five/Nine hack and you literally had to compete with that which was next to impossible.

from what they are saying, it really sounds like people love their formulas and simple narratives. this show shatters that mold. All you need to know about American audiences is CBS has been the most watched network for over a decade with shows like CSI and NCIS leading the charge.

Overall that episode wasn't bad.
I mean I thought the scene with Angela and the little girl was pure crap. Imo, it would have been more effective for whiterose to question her from the beginning since it was obvious who kidnapped her.

Yeah I don't get the hate either. I'm just excited for tomorrow. I really hope they shed more light on what happened on 5/9.

so because the payoff didnt come 20min after the scene it is pure crap? If that scene plays into Angela's character later down the line, is it still pure crap?

That doesn't mean it's good. It was a strange scene that doesn't make much sense. Maybe it will later, but I don't see it.

I hope it's more satisfying than the season 1 finale. They just passed over 5/9 and didn't really give us any info about it. I hated that. Hopefully we find out more tonight!!!!!

Agreed. I was pretty unsatisfied with the finale last year. I think Esmail realized it wasnt his best work. It feels like tonight's will be much better and why there was so much set up last week. I plan on watching last weeks right before this weeks as they were supposed to be shown.

He went GOT style last season with the second to last episode being the crazy shite hitting the fan episode with the finale being the aftermath. Seems he is going to opposite this time around.

Yeah I agree. The "filler" story pieces in season 1 were also much better than they were in season 2. Only way season 2 can compare is with an epic finale. I hope they realized that while writing the show.

Am I the only one put off by Dom and her annoying quirks? On paper a hot red head is right up my alley but she's so obnoxious with the suckers and how she interacts with people. I get that's her shtick not being able to relate to people and being lonely but Elliot is still likable despite that. Loved his "are you seeing this too" moment at the Emmys.
