He hasn't had as crazy a transformation as Bale, but he's played some scrawny characters before. Sooner or later that has to take a toll. I guess if you're compensated like they are you can cope a little easier.

I think he was like a MIT chemical engineering student, then went to an open casting for Drago while he was a student from here from Sweden.
I also find Hardy's claim of no steroids laughable. There are photos of him as Bane with massive back acne.
Besides the obvious roided guys like Stallone, Arnold, and The Rock I'd say a definite is Hugh Jackman as Wolverine in the last few movies. Pitt in Troy, Hemsworth in Thor, Evans in the first Captain America.

I always wondered why didn't Norton maintain the physique he had in American history X? Dude was scrawny before that, and went back to being scrawny after. He had close to a perfect look in ahx, not too big, but not skinny like Pitt in Troy.... Who wouldn't want to maintain that?
