Movies/TV shows within past 10 years that aren't holding up well and seem dated?

It's one of my all time favorites, but I was watching The Dark Knight the other day and the issue with the cell phone sonar machine he makes at the end seems very dated.

The Wire is a great example of a show seeming dated. However, it certainly "holds up well" as it's the best show of all time.

But man, the technology in that show seems ancient watching it now. And it was only 9-15 years ago.

The first few episodes of the sopranos seem very dated and almost a bit cheesy.

I agree that the wire is dated but it still holds up. Everything the wire is predicated on (pagers, pay phones and baggy clothing) is extremely outdated.

Isn't this what makes a show great? That the technology may be dated, but the themes and implications are enduring?

I'm trying to watch 24 and having a hard time making it through the first season.

ETA: It also has quite a few unattractive females.

I know you'll get downvoted for saying that but it was the first thing that came to mind for me too.

To be fair, it's set in a specific period of time when "the life" was dying out, in a very regional setting.

Lord of the rings movies. Some of the shots are cringeworthy now

The first few episodes of the Sopranos were shot nearly twenty years ago, no shite it seems a little dated. In the end, who cares? OMG, Tony used a pay phone!

Didn't we just have a thread where a poster was claiming it as the greatest comedy of all time?

Knocked Up feels really dated.

And not remotely funny anymore...if it ever was that funny. Why was this movie such a big deal again?

Hangover was the funniest movie I've ever seen... A lot of that had to do with I did not know what to expect. It has not held up well though

The Shield

Surprisingly the original Jurassic Park still looks good. The real genetically created dinosaurs look better than CGI.

Only thing that dates it are the 95 Ford Explorers and MS DOS on PCs
