Has Dallas Buyer's Club

Come Back to the 5 and Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean

Red River - a real oldie western. I think I saw this movie as the afternoon movie (Dialing for Dollars...anyone remember that?) in maybe 1972 as a kid.

A couple of relatively unknown movies:

About how residents of a small Texas town cope with the Spanish Flu of 1918.

About putting together an oil play in west Texas.

Did you mean the Last Picture Show?
I cannot find a Texas based TV show or movie titled The Little Picture show.

If there is, please let me know where to find it.

The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada draws on two sources of influence. One being the real-life killing of an American teenager, Esequiel Hernandez Jr, during a military operation at the Texas/Mexico border. The other source is that of William Faulkner’s novel As I Lay Dying.

The undisputed iconic Texas movie has to be "Giant", with Rock Hudson, James Dean and Elizabeth Taylor. It is an epic from 1956 about a rancher and his family, with James Dean as his nemesis, Jett Rink.

You're right. The people from the little Texas town came to see him pitch against the Rangers.

The bank robbery at the beginning of The Wild Bunch takes place in Texas.
